		<description>If you don&#039;t know your way around, I would suggest mapping out your itinerary before hand.  Train in - subway/bus to destination - pick a lunch place and directions to it - train home etc.  and any other stops you may want to make.  Prepare by talking to someone who knows the city WELL.  Take about $50.00 - make sure you have change, not a $50.00 bill.  Take cell phones and be in contact with your parents periodically during the day.  
I know you can do it, NYC is not as bad as people think.  If you&#039;re leary, take an older teen/person with you until your familiar with the getting in and out of the city, that&#039;s the biggest thing, knowing the areas and how to get from one place to another.  You&#039;ll be fine!  Enjoy your trip.</description>
