thats so exciting that you are writing a book! all of these names seem to be very preppy names like ones you would find on an episode of “gossip girl” …theres nothing wrong with this if these are the types of characters you are trying to create and the image you want to invoke on your readers…if the characters are all preppy then thats great, if not then you might want to come up with some more common, general names that could represent a more general type of persona… good luck!!!
No, no, no! If you want it to be realistic, you can’t use names for teenagers that are now popular for babys. Try using names that are popular with kids in the age group you’re writing about.
Either way, you should make each character’s name start with a different letter and also sound different. That keeps the reader from getting confused. (So replace two of the ‘H’ names with something else.)
Also, I suggest you look up some different surnames from a site that lists REAL surnames because the ones you’re using sound very fake. I find it hard to emphasize with obviously made-up people.

for the African American male name don’t sound so African American. African Americans don’t have green eyes.

Beary – Beiry or Beery
Hansler Gray – Niles Brook
Stinger – Stynger
Harper Lawson – Heather Lauson
