I thought he was terrible. I mean, there is only so much you can do with a George Lucas’ script full of awkward dialogue, but Hayden as Anakin brought it to a new level of suck, in my opinion. I thought his performance was one of the poorest in the entire Star Wars franchise, and that’s not good considering the significance of his role.
